11x17 Matte Flyers
Same Day 11x17 Flyer Printing on 100lb Matte Paper
11x17 matte flyers give your message twice the space of a standard letter flyer with a clean, glare-free finish that reads easily under bright store lights and outdoor sun. Also known as tabloid flyers, they're printed on premium 100lb matte paper with high-resolution digital presses for rich color and sharp text. Because matte paper takes ink from any pen or pencil, they're also writable flyers your customers and staff can fill in by hand. With our same day flyer printing, order up to 1,000 flyers before 11:00 AM Pacific and we print them the same day at no extra charge, ready for Los Angeles pickup that afternoon or shipped out the same day. 11x17 flyer printing is available single-sided or double-sided, with optional half fold and tri-fold on double-sided orders.

Same Day Flyer Printing
Need flyers today? Order up to 1,000 before the cutoff and we print them the same day, with no rush fee.
Folded orders need 1 to 2 additional business days.
- No rush fee. Same-day service is included at standard pricing. You don't pay extra for speed.
- Print-ready files only. Same-day production goes ahead only if your file has no issues. If we spot a problem, we let you know right away by text, email, or both. If the corrected file is in by 11:00 AM, your order still runs the same day. If it arrives after 11:00 AM, your order ships the next business day. If we don't receive a print-ready file within 3 business days, we cancel the order and issue a full refund.
- Business days only. Same-day printing runs Monday through Friday. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are printed on the next business day.
- No finishing on same-day orders. Half fold, tri-fold, and other post-press finishing require additional production time and can't be completed the same day.
- Same-day is our standard, not a guarantee. On days with an unusually high order volume, or if something goes wrong in production, your order may ship the next business day. We'll let you know as soon as we can. Excluding orders with file issues, more than 99% of our same-day orders have shipped the same day.

Folding Options for 11x17 Matte Flyers
Transform your tabloid flyers into a brochure or menu. Folding is available on double-sided orders.
11x17 is the go-to size for folded pieces. Many customers half fold an 11x17 flyer so the finished piece is letter size (8.5" × 11") with four panels: a front cover, two inside pages, and a back cover. It's the classic format for event and church programs, school newsletters, and product catalogs.
100lb matte paper folds cleanly into both half fold and tri-fold. The text weight is easy to fold into three panels, which is why restaurants use tri-fold 11x17 flyers as takeout and dine-in menus: the full menu fits across six panels, the folded menu slips easily into a takeout bag or a menu rack, and the glare-free matte finish keeps every item easy to read. Need a thicker, cover-weight folder instead? See our 11x17 flyers on 14pt cardstock.

11x17 Matte Flyers FAQ
Same-day timing, files and bleed, paper, folding, and shipping.
1What time is the same day printing cutoff?
11:00 AM Pacific Time. Order by then with a print-ready file and your 11x17 matte flyers are printed the same day, with no rush fee.
Orders placed after 11:00 AM, or corrected files received after 11:00 AM, ship the next business day.
2Are 11x17 flyers the same as tabloid flyers?
Yes. 11" × 17" is the size printers call tabloid (or ledger), so 11x17 flyers and tabloid flyers are the same thing. It is exactly twice the size of a letter sheet, which is why a half fold turns it into a letter size piece.
3How many 11x17 matte flyers can I order?
Our minimum is 50 flyers, and same-day printing covers up to 1,000.
If you need more than 1,000 flyers on a tight deadline, call us at +1 (818) 213-5871 before ordering and we'll tell you what the day's press schedule allows.
4Is same day printing available on weekends and holidays?
No. Same-day printing runs Monday through Friday. Weekend and holiday orders go to press on the next business day.
5Is same-day shipping guaranteed?
Same-day is our standard, but it is not a guarantee. On days with an unusually high order volume, or if something goes wrong in production, your order may ship the next business day.
Excluding orders with file issues, more than 99% of our same-day orders have shipped the same day.
6Do I have to pick up my same-day order, or can it be shipped?
Either works. Same-day orders are ready for pickup between 4:00 and 5:00 PM in Chatsworth.
If you'd rather not drive, we ship same-day orders out the same day they're printed. For delivery times by region, see our shipping information.
7Is there a rush fee for same day flyer printing?
No. We don't charge anything extra for same-day service. You pay the same price shown in the table above whether your order goes out today or in two business days.
8What happens if there's a problem with my print file?
We check every file before printing. If something is wrong, such as low resolution, RGB color, or unoutlined fonts, we let you know by text, email, or both so you can correct it.
A corrected file received by 11:00 AM Pacific still makes same-day printing. One received after 11:00 AM ships the next business day. If we don't receive a print-ready file within 3 business days, we cancel the order and issue a full refund.
9What bleed should I use for 11x17 flyers?
Use the US standard 1/8" (0.125") bleed on every side, for a document size of 11.25" × 17.25". Keep important text and logos inside the 11" × 17" trim line.
10Can I cancel my order or replace my file after ordering?
Only before your job goes to press. Presses begin running at 10:00 AM Pacific.
Once printing has started, the file cannot be replaced and the order cannot be cancelled. To make a change, call us at +1 (818) 213-5871.
11What is the difference between matte and gloss 11x17 flyers?
Matte paper has a smooth, non-reflective surface that keeps text easy to read under bright light, and it takes writing from any pen or pencil. It also feels slightly thicker in hand than our 100lb gloss paper.
Gloss paper has a shiny surface that makes photos and bright colors pop, but only ballpoint pens write well on it. If you prefer a shiny finish, see our 11x17 flyers on 100lb gloss paper.
12Are 11x17 matte flyers writable?
Yes. Matte flyers work with ballpoint pens, water-based pens, gel pens, markers, and pencils, which makes them ideal for order forms, sign-up sheets, and menus your staff mark up by hand.
On gloss flyers, a ballpoint pen works, but water-based pens and pencils don't write well.
13What is 100lb matte paper?
All 11x17 matte flyers are printed on 100lb matte text paper (148gsm), which feels slightly thicker in hand than our 100lb gloss paper. This is text weight, not cover weight. It's the standard stock for flyers, flexible enough to fold, stack, and hand out, while feeling noticeably heavier than copy paper.
If you need the rigidity of a cover-weight stock, see our 11x17 flyers on 14pt cardstock.
14Can 11x17 matte flyers be folded?
Yes, on double-sided orders. 11x17 is one of the most popular sizes for folding: a half fold turns it into a letter size (8.5" × 11") 4-panel piece, and tri-fold produces three equal panels for a large-format brochure. On 100lb matte paper, tri-fold is especially popular for restaurant takeout menus. We score every fold line before folding.
Folding is a finishing step performed after printing, so folded orders are not eligible for same-day printing. Folding adds 1 to 2 business days after printing.
15Do you offer design services for 11x17 flyers?
Not at this time. We print from finished, print-ready artwork only, which is part of how we keep prices low and turnaround fast.
Follow the file setup guide above and your artwork will be ready to submit. If you're unsure whether your file meets spec, call us before ordering and we'll talk it through.
16What if my flyers arrive damaged?
We reinforce every flyer shipment, but a box of 11x17 flyers is heavy, and that weight can cause damage such as bent corners or creased edges in transit. If your flyers arrive damaged, take a photo and send it to us through web chat, and we will reprint and reship your order as quickly as possible.

Every File Print-Ready
Every file submitted to RedPrinting is reviewed by a real person before it goes to press. This guide walks you through file formats, resolution, bleed, and cut lines — so your stickers, labels, and cards come out exactly the way you designed them.
Not a Designer? We'll Handle It
Free artwork setup is included with every order.
You don't need design software or print experience to order from us. Send us your image in any common format and our in-house design team will build the print file for you — adding bleed, positioning the cut line, and adjusting the resolution at no extra charge.
If your artwork needs a change we can't make on our own, we'll email you before printing. Nothing goes to press without your approval.
The Three Lines on Every Template
Understand these and your file will cut clean every time.
Accepted File Formats
Vector files give the sharpest results, but we accept high-resolution raster files too.
| Format | Type | Best For | Recommended |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI | Vector | Logos, text, line art, custom shapes | Best |
| Vector | Print-ready files with fonts outlined | Best | |
| EPS | Vector | Legacy vector artwork | Best |
| PSD | Raster | Layered photo-based designs | Good |
| PNG | Raster | Designs needing a transparent background | Good |
| JPG | Raster | Photographs and full-color images | Good |
| TIFF | Raster | High-quality scanned or photo artwork | Good |

- Outline your fonts – Convert all text to outlines or curves so typefaces render correctly on our end.
- Use CMYK color mode – Printing is a CMYK process. RGB files are converted automatically, and bright neon or vivid blues may shift slightly.
- Flatten transparency – Complex transparency and drop shadows can behave unpredictably; flatten them before exporting.
- Embed or attach linked images – Missing links are the most common reason a file gets sent back.
Image Resolution
300 DPI at final print size is the target.
Resolution is measured at the size the artwork will actually be printed. A 300 DPI image looks crisp on a 2-inch sticker but turns soft when stretched across a 24-inch poster. Always check the pixel dimensions against the finished size, not against how the file looks on screen.
Web images pulled from a website or social media are usually 72 DPI, which is roughly a quarter of the detail we need. Enlarging a low-resolution file doesn't add detail back — it only makes the softness more visible.
Low-quality artwork? Send it anyway. Our designers will do everything possible to bring it up to print standard, and we'll tell you honestly if a file won't hold up.
Choosing Your Material
Where the sticker will live decides which stock to use.
- Waterproof and tear-resistant
- Resists fading from sun and weather
- Holds up on bottles, laptops, and cars
- Higher cost per sticker
- Thin, smooth, and easy to write on
- Noticeably lower cost per sticker
- Ideal for packaging, boxes, and mailers
- Not water- or weather-resistant
Clear stickers are printed on transparent vinyl, so the surface underneath becomes part of the design. They're waterproof, tear-resistant, and work beautifully on glass bottles, cups, laptops, and windows where a white sticker edge would look out of place.
Because there's no white backing, light colors and white ink behave differently than they do on paper. Designs with bold shapes, dark colors, or deliberate negative space tend to read best.
Setting Up Sticker Sheets
Multiple designs and sizes on a single sheet.
Sticker sheets let you print several different designs together on one backing sheet. Our sheet templates come pre-populated with placeholder artwork that you replace with your own files.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
The issues that most often send a file back for revision.
- No bleed on the background – Artwork that stops at the die line leaves white edges when the cut shifts. Extend it a full 0.075 inch past the finished edge.
- Text too close to the edge – Anything outside the safe area can be trimmed off. Pull text and logos at least 0.075 inch inside the die line.
- Low-resolution images – Artwork saved from a website prints soft and pixelated. Work from the original high-resolution file whenever possible.
- Live fonts not outlined – Fonts we don't have installed get substituted. Convert all type to outlines before exporting.
- RGB color mode – Vivid RGB colors can't always be matched in CMYK. Design in CMYK to see accurate colors from the start.
- Die line left in the artwork – The cut line is a guide, not a design element. Remove it or keep it on its own separate layer.
- Wrong template size – Make sure the template you downloaded matches the size you actually ordered.
